0xBASE INTEL BRIEF
  • PFP group had higher PFJRF at knee flexion angles <30°.
  • Single limb landings with low knee flexion increase patellofemoral load.
  • Rehabilitation should focus on adequate knee flexion to reduce pain.

"This study examines how changes in patellofemoral joint reaction force at small knee flexion angles affect patellofemoral pain during single limb landings in active females. Results indicate that reduced knee flexion increases joint reaction forces and pain. Findings are relevant for rehabilitation of patellofemoral pain syndrome."
